Tier1 dependent visa from India for newborn in UK

Post by MukeshB » Mon Apr 01, 2013 1:12 pm

Hi

I am on Tier1 General visa and recently got extension for next 2 years. After that I will be eligible to apply for ILR. My wife is on dependent visa. We are blessed with a baby boy recently and I have got his Indian passport as well.

Now my wife and new born are travelling to India for 4 months. We are planning to apply for dependent visa for the new born from India. My questions are -

1. What documents do I need to apply for dependent visa for my baby born in UK?
2. What impact it will have on new born's application of ILR as he will be getting first entry clearance from india now. Will he be affected by 9th July 2012 visa rule changes (Given that I have got my entry clearance in Dec 2009)?
3. Can my wife live in India for such a long time i.e. 4 months. Does she come under 9th July 2012 visa rule changes (Given that She has got entry clearance in Dec 2009 along with me)?

Thanks in advance.

1. You need the below documents to apply for your child dependant.

1) 3 months pay slips.
2) 3 months bank statements showing that you have enough funds to support
your dependant which is more than 600£.
3) your tenancy agreement.
4) Marriage certificate.
5) TB screening certificate which is issued by certified CMM centre.
6) Birth Certificate.
7) You and your wife's passport and BRP cards photocopy.
8) 2 recent applicants passport photos.

2.There is no impact as far as i know.

3. She can live in India for 4 months, there is no such issue.

Thanks,Uday

Thanks for the reply.
What proof do I need to provide if I own the house?

You dont need the documents mentioned against point 1,3,4 & 7.
The UK birth Certificate must be Full (which includes both parents name).
