Maintenance Funds - Statement from Account Manager Barclays?

Post by Darren870 » Wed Apr 10, 2013 12:40 am

Hi,

I am in the process of sending in my Tier 1 visa.

I have all my paper statements from Barclays and the last is from March 8th. That is just about 31 days prior (if I apply ASAP).

Because of this I went to the Bank and was able to print out a statement from the account manager machine that is up to April 2nd.

I got the rep to stamp/sign it, but half the account number is *** out (general practice on those printouts)

Is this okay to submit? The reason I ask is because it says that no mini statements should be used as evidence for maintenance funds.

Thanks!
D

Hi,

Mine was exactly the same case as yours. Got the statements printed out off the kiosk and got them stamped and signed. The had the first 4 digits of the account number **** ed.

It should be fine. This is only according to my understanding.

Kind Regards,

Hmm okay thanks. I guess its either this or wait till the next one. Which I am not sure when it will come.

The other option was she could print it out at the desk but it didn't have my address on it.

While one can never predict what objections they may raise, the fact that it was signed and stamped by the bank staff may mean that it might not normally pose a problem.

If you are very concerned, why not ask the bank to write down your full account number on the printed statement and authenticate that too?

Yea, I also did a search and see a few people used it before:

and had no issues. So I think I am good. I will post everything tomorrow!

Thanks!
