Original LIUK certificate not returned back with approval

I just realised that I haven't got my origianl LIUK certificate back from UKBA. Hounslow NCS asked me to submit my original LIUK certificate even though I argued saying it's not required as it has already been used during my ILR but they persisted and I eventually gave up and submitted my original with application. They, though, gave me a copy of it for records.


I received my approval last week and going for a ceremony next week.
I don't know if we'd need that certificate again (don't think so) but was just wondering if it is worth writing to UKBA asking for the certificate.

You won't need the certificate again as your immigration journey is complete now.

I thought so too - so its not worth putting efforts asking them to return
