New English Language Requirement clarification

Hi All,

I have been under the understanding that my wife ( she entered uk October 2011 so comes under old rules pre July 2012 ) had to pass both the Life in The UK test and the B1 English language requirement if we applied after October 1st 2013 to get ILR.

I have just been on UKBA site to see how they have changed the rules in the month since I last looked ( sarcasm ) and it seems to now say that you only need life in the Uk if you apply before October 28th 2013 ( after which point English language requirement is also needed ). This is a significant difference for us, as my wife can apply for ILR from 31st September onwards.

Before I thought we only had 31st September to apply for ILR if she did not have B1 ( not really enough time to risk getting an appointment ) and have therefore been trying to find somewhere she can do B1 - if however we have from 31st September to 28th October to apply for ILR only needing life in the uK this is much easier.

Anyone please clarify??

I guess you mean there is only 30 days in Sep, do not you?
