I think it is preferable to wait until the P60 is issued n then apply.
Normally p60s r often issued by the end of april so there is no harm in waiting a little bit.

Best of luck mate.

Sorry to hijack this thread bt i have a question in d same topic.

The issue is regarding the p60 form of my spouse (sponsor), in fact she started working fulltime in july 2012!! N she is earning 14k per annum. The problem is if the p60 shows less than the amount declared in payslips and work contract would this be a problem!?? Or should we jst explain in the covering letter that the p60 doesnt show full year income bcoz the work outset was in july 2012!!

in my case, last month salary slip also explained total yearly salary and total deduction like PF,Tax etc...so last financial year's total salary is mentioned there

Jst to avoid any trouble, try to gather all the documents required (and not required aswell) before you apply. U noe they are very thorough and becoz the devil is in the details, do your things right and fill in all the gaps.

All the best alex

Guys you have to understand you do not have to supply your sponsor P60 if you have it it is ok if not it is not a problem. My wife applied 3 weeks ago and i Only supplied her with 6 month payslip and my work contract. and that was sufficient enough and she got a visa issued few days ago.

but it will not cause a problem if you give a P60 but you have to explain that when u commenced your work and that will explain that your P60 is showing less than the 18600.
