HSMP and Belgium workpermit

Hi All,

I am from India having HSMP. I was looking for jobs and got a response from a consultant in Belgium. He wants me to place in Belgium through HSMP. Please let me know how to get a Visa for Belgium on basis of HSMP. Below is the email from that job-consultant:

"You need to apply (in India ) for a visa to go to Belgium . Your HSMP allows you to work through a UK ltd company on-site in Belgium as long as you are still paid in the UK (which in this case you will be) You just need the appropriate paperwork to go to and from Belgium.."

The bottom line is you will anyways need paperwork (working permit) to work in Belgium.

Are you going to work through a UK based company in Belgium?

Had the same issue. Looks like it takes between 6-8 weeks to get a Work Permit for Belgium. My client backed off when they came to know they have to wait that long
