Change new employer - less salary

Hi,
I am on a Tier 2 General (Sponsored Skilled Worker) Visa and I am getting salary 55K per year.
I have planned to change the employer. The new employer has offered around 40K per year. The new employer happy to issue CoS for a new Tier 2 General.
Question:
Can I change the employer less salary compare with current employer?
