HSMP Approved..Not sure whether to do FLR or EC..Pls help

Post by newavenues » Fri Feb 16, 2007 10:32 am

Hello Friends,

Last week i have received approval for out of country HSMP case. I am travelling to UK through my current employer on Work Permit. Do i have to come back to India and apply for EC or can i apply for FLR in UK (and there is no need to return).

This is urgent. Please let me know.

Thanks!!!

if u applied as out of country applicant u have to apply for EC and get it cleared. Ur FLR can be considered if u had applied as in country applicant.

My opinion is that you can apply for the HSMP entry clearance visa (or FLR as it may apply to you) from UK as long as you have a valid residence/work permit irrespective of applying for HSMP in country or out country or when you applied.

newavenues,

Yes..it's not depend on Out of country / in country application.

It depend from where you are applying ?

In your case, you can go for FLR as you are already in UK.

From outside it's EC.

Both the options are open once you get HSMP approval.

mike/olumighty

I also felt the same when i was reading the rules. I have got my approval last week and i will be travelling next week. I want to be cent percent sure as i dont want to take the pain of travelling back with my family to get EC.

I had sent this query to hsmp and they replied stating 'Its recommended that you apply for EC in India'.

I am not sure what is the best thing to do?

-Cheers!

It's recommended. Sir. Not Compulsury.

I am in UK and applied for Out of country application.

On approval letter, it says that if you are in UK apply for FLR(HSMP) oterwise apply for EC.

Also confirmed on phone with HSMP team, once you are in UK you can apply for FLR(HSMP).

Experienced people, please reply.
