Dear Friends,

Can someone help me with rules of ILR

I have enetered UK on visitor visa in Nov 2001 for medical exam (PLAB).
Went on Permit Free Visa from Mar 2002.

Switched to Work pemit in NOV 2002 for one year . But i have to go back to my country for personal reasons from Apr 03 - July 03. Started on work permit from Aug 03 and got HSMP in Dec 04.

Can i get PR in NOV 07 or not.

Hello,
It looks like you left the country for 4 months and didn't hold a valid work permit during that time. (don't have bills, rent contract, etc for that time)
Seems like your clock may have been re set after leaving in april 03; I would say you need to wait until aug 08.

I had Work permit but i was not in UK thats all.?

Also when does the HSMP visa starts the day it is approved or when it is stamped on passport

If you are talking about EC, then the day it is stamped on the passport
