ILR/CITIZENSHIP ESOL exam After OCT'2013 for TIER 1 GENERAL?

Post by amitpattjoshi » Sat Jun 29, 2013 11:56 am

Hi,

I have gone through the Border Agency website and found that you need to have both Life In UK and ESOL exam certificates to be eligible for ILR.

I can understand Life In Uk is necessary as of date But I am not sure if ESOL test is applied for Main Applicant under Tier 1 General as we have shown equivalent of 6.5 score as medium of Graduation/Exam taught is in English while applying for UK Tier 1 General.

So by looking at the Border Agency website I am not clear to whom it is exempted under Tier 1 General (If somebody has Tier 1/HSMP already ?)
or applied to all Non English Speaking Country with any type Visa Holder.

Please advise or point me any link/contacts where I can find the details.

Thanks..
Kumar

Hi Mate,

Hope you are doing good.

No it is not mandatory for Tier 1 Main applicant, since we have already proved English language requirement in our Initial application.

Follow this link for more details:

All the best...

Thanks,
