Hi all,

This forum, helped me a lot .
Now I received a letter of invitation from UKBA. on 29 June 2013.
letter of approval dated : 19 June 2013.
The letter said to call local authority to book ceremony, but currently i am in india. will be back in september end.

please guide me what to do, what I have to tell council.
I have seen in guidence i need to book ceremony within 3 months.
so what date will be consider the approval date i.e 19 June
or letter i received 29 June.

please guide me some experts.

Best thing to do is to phone your local authority and let them know when you are returning back to the UK. They could put your certificate aside and not return it back to the Home Office.

It may be to early for them to book you an appointment for end September.

which date should be taken to start counting 3 months deadline period to book ceremony.

date of approvalon letter : 19 June
or
date of letter received by post: 29 June.

I suggest you contact the council and ask.

I would assume it would be from the date of the invitation letter. You only need an extension of about 3 weeks.

If you are abroad you can email the citizenship section of your local council rather than phoning them. Check their email address in your council website. Quote your Home Office reference number. It is better to communicate in writing in this case.

I already phone council before i read your suggestion,
local council says my invitation letter expires on 17 September and they can
give me appointment on 03 september only, if i dont show up on 03 september they said they going to return certificate to Home Office,

pls help me what should I do, as i am coming back on 26 Sep 2013.

I suggest you email the Home Office and request an extension.

I am not sure if that is possible, you can always try. Maybe an experienced moderator can advise you better on this one.
