Entry clearance from India

Post by rajeevanand » Tue Feb 27, 2007 10:05 am

Hi Guys

I'm currently in the UK. Since my leave has expired, I'm going back to India. I will be applying for HSMP from there.

From the looks of it, Entry Clearance is not the same as FLR(HSMP). Is there a different form ? Can anyone point me in the right direction please ?

Thanks
Rajeev

Rajeev,

From India you'll need to apply for EC using the form VAF1. The applications have to be submitted to VFS nearest to your residence. You can view details on the VFS website www.vfs-uk.co.in

View this http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=12790 for more details regarding EC from India. There are many other posts already on the forum which you can search for regarding any queries on EC or you can even write to BHC or VFS.

regards

YOu can apply online as well now (from India). And you have to fill a HSMP Pro Forma as well, don't forget that :)

nileshratan,

How do I check the number of points that I have been awarded by HSMP? My HSMP letter does not state this!!!

Thanks for your help!

You never come to know the points awarded to you once your HSMP is approved...would you be really bothered if your HSMP is approved!!!

Yeah

Only if you are one of those exclusive members of the 'rejected' club, they will tell you how much you scored.

Fill the form assuming that you were awarded points in the claimed categories. If you dont know, then ECO will definitely know. Your should be on their system.
