Surname/Family Name Blank in Passport

Hi All,

I have one urgent query and i am not able to sleep due to this:

In my passport, Family Name field is blank. And Given Name is like "Nav Kumar". But if we see in T2 form, we have family name as mandatory field.

Please suggest what i suppose to fill against given name and family name in Visa form.

Please share your experience. This can become a reason of Visa rejection?

So what is your last name and why is not there on passport. Why you did not pick this up earlier when you received your passport.

I am not using Surname anywhere. And my name is Nav Kumar. So you can say Kumar is last name here.

I'd just put your name in the surname field and maybe provide a covering letter to explain that you did it because the field was mandatory.

Have you got the Tier 2 general visa ? what name mentioned in your COS and Appendix 5 ? I would appreciate if you can answer i know this post is old but your experience can help as i am in same situation .

I have a simlar case as Nav Kumar.

I do not have surname mentioned in my passport only given name is there :-
Given Name : "Rajeev Singh"
Sur Name : -------(Blank)

As per my Certificat Of Sponsorship its showing
Family Name : "Rajeev Singh" as COS assign only on family names without that COS can not be assigned for tier 2 general .

As per my Appendix 5 :-
Family name : -----
Given name is "Rajeev Singh" because appendix 5 should be similar to Passport.
