Tier 2 Maintenance (funds)

Hi There,

I am already on Tier 2 General Visa but going to change employment, my current visa is valid till december this year.

My Question is do I need to provide Proof of Maintenance fund?" my wife and child will apply at the same time as dependants

From what I understood (been reading about T2G for last 5 days only) you company can tick the box confirming the maintenance requirement when assigning a new CoS for you which means you don't have to provide the 90 days bank statement maintaining the 900£.

So that one tick means my dependants too are covered?

Yes, ticking that box covers dependants too.

My reading of Appendix C, paragraph 5(b) is that you would score 10 points anyway as you are already a 'Tier 2 Migrant'.

Notably, this paragraph:

(o) Where the Relevant Points Based System Migrant is applying for entry clearance or leave to remain at the same time as the applicant, and is not required to provide evidence of maintenance funds because of the provisions in paragraph 5(b) of Appendix C, the applicant is also not required to provide evidence of maintenance funds.
