Traffic offences - is it necessary to mention them ?

Post by oli_ro » Sun Mar 04, 2007 11:54 am

Hi,

so I have seen that is required to specify any traffic offences. I had broken a red light and fined 150Euro in Ireland 2 years ago.

Do I need to mention it ? Will they check my record in Ireland ?

Is it going to influence the decision if I mention it ?

What are people's thoughts ?

Thanks a lot.

on the FLR(HSMP) application, it clearly states that you need to note any convictions (including traffic offenses). i listed mine, and i had no problem getting FLR. (well the FLR was for WP at the time).

i say list it. it's much worse to not list something.

Hey,

My case is somewhat similar but making a fresh HSMP application.

I was in UK before for doing my Masters and at that point of time was fine 60 GBP for over speeding. When I went to pay they didn't accept the fine as I had an Indian Driving License.

So, it is close to 3 years now (very late!!!) and would like to know what might have happened and the how far it is going to affect my HSMP application!!!

Thx for any help.

Regards.
