Waiting times for student visa from London

Hi,

I am Non-EU national currently working in UK under PBS. I have got PhD offer from Dublin City University with full scholarship. So, i am going to apply for my student visa soon.

Does anybody know how long it takes to get Student visa if I apply from Irish embassy London. The website of Irish embassy says 4 weeks but it says this time frame is from March,2008. looks like website is not updated for long.

If any one has recently applied, please advise me.

A friend of mine applied for visit visa and they took 4 weeks. So keep in mind 4 weeks, they can take that long

Dear Shussain:

From my personal experience, processing time is 4 weeks if you apply by post. Its 2 weeks if you walk down to embassy (personally) and submit all the required docs and completed application form.

Generally:
By post = 20 Working days
In Person = 10 Working days
