Exit under Directive/2004

The directive 2004 say that non-eu national having EEA2 RC can travel together with EU national visa freely to european member states. How about if on return non-EU national is returning alone on EEA2 RC back to UK initially after successfully visa free entry to member state. Any prohibtion/criteria about it?

If passport was not stamped on entry then if travelling back then in europe airport officials will not say how you here and you are illegal? Any unique code/language/article to reply them if needed.

How about - the truth?

Just show the RC, state you entered with spouse and now returning home.

and importantly: State that you are REJOINING your (spouse?) who is in the country.

if leaving the UK, they don't care? - as far as I know... They would be glad that you don't intend to stay "illegally", so why kick up a fuss that your leaving?

There ought not to a problem. There are no exit visas allowed. On re-entry to the UK, one might be asked to explain absence of family member (or then again, you might not).

Does directive give exemption from holding the travel insurance when EU and non-EU partner flying together. can airline such as Ryanair etc can insist to buy travel insurance.

it's true... when i was working in the Heathrow T3 ( Air side ) before i used to knew many immigration officers ; they may have knowledge about UK immigration rules but limited knowledge about EU immigration law so they always take advise from senior immigration officers.
