Thank you all so much Im going to stick around on this forum to help others!

God bless you all

Im really happy my fiance got his visa!

Just one thing tho its valid longer than the usual 6months is that correct. Im happy thats gives us more time to have our relatives come over for the wedding and more time for us to prepare. But is that correct?

Congratulations on the visa, but in answer to your question, no I do not think it is correct. Fiance(e) visas are specifically for 6 months.

Without quoting any names, can you post exactly what is printed on the visa?

Thanks John you are right it was the wrong one. He arrived this morning :D and got asked loads of questions. He had been given 3 years instead of 6 months. They kept asking if he was married to me which he kept saying no he wasnt we were engaged! But they stamped his passport with 6months. Who do we need to inform of the mistake made by the embassy?

I dont want it to disrupt anything!

oh my GOD it was a nightmare to drag both the families along right at the end. i mean don't get me wrong it was nothing bad and they both were okay BUT the wedding politics!! OH MY GOD hehe.

I hope you have a wonderful, fabulous wedding and an ever wonderful and fulfilling life with each other.

Sorry John I didnt answer your question properly  .

The visa has his name and then mine as spouse. It does say no recourse to public funds then it has an expiry date of two years. Hes been given the correct stamp now. I just hope it does not cause any problems altho also in his passport is a receipt stapled in, which shows what visa he paid for and it clearly states FE/FEE which stands for Fiance!
