Does it makes any difference in my application to have support from a solicitor?

People who apply with the help of a legal professional are not given any special consideration over those that apply for themselves. The rules are the rules and you have to meet the requirements of those rules. A legal professional will help you to present your application in an optimized way and, hopefully, be able to indicate (and therefore avoid) any errors or shortcomings in your supporting evidence.

Most of them dont even know what they are doing. Its a shame that they have been awarded a qualification.
