How can I Find out Visa Status

Dear Concerned,

I have tier 2 General visa I want to find out if my visa is cancelled or not ? I had come back to India for medical reasons and want to go back to UK now. How can i find out my visa status as My sponsor company is not responding to my emails and calls.

well u have to ask ur employer if they have informed UKBA or not.. otherwise, i dont think there is any way to find out if ur visa is valid or not.
Also, even if they have not informed UKBA, it will be illegal for u to enter again, if u know u dont have a job to go back to.

Ok, So there is no provision to find out apart from contacting sponsor, who in my case is not responding. My only worry is if I find a new sponsor and want to apply i will not be able to until I have clear information on what is the status of my current Visa.
UKBA dont have provision to check Visa status online or by telephoning them?

When you retuirned to India for medical reasons has your sponsor terminated your employment?

If the sponsor doesn't respond to your request for information you can find out your immigration status by submitting a Subject Access Request:
