Your employer will send you a document called 'Protocole d'áccueil ' along with the letter of employment. You must submit this document along with the visa application form and two photographs to the French Consulate in your country. Do take along the copies of your contract as well. There is also a visa processing fee of a 100 Euros. They usually issue the visa the same day, if everything else is ok. The consulate will also stamp the Protcole dáccueil and return it to you. Do not forget to collect this.

Further, you'll need to get your Birth Certificate translated into French (by an official translstor). While this is not needed for the visa, it will be required when you apply for your 'Titre d'sejour' or residence permit upon arrival in France.

Good luck
