Post by sajjadsadia » Sat Aug 17, 2013 8:15 pm

Hi need a advice my 15 year old son and 14 year old daughter recieve ilr after 10 year long residence route both born in pakistan now my question is they r eligible to apply naturalization straightaway or they need to wait 1 year for that. One of the solicitor says u can apply staightaway because children can but i want second opinion because fees is too much .

Have you read the FAQ before posting?

See Q1 in Citizenship FAQs - Common Questions - Read before posting - children.

Children don't need to wait 1 year but born abroad children will need to apply together with a parent.

i.e. overseas born children shouldn't apply for registration as British citizens until a parent applies for naturalisation as a British citizen, etc.
