2 months on Tier 1 Visa, Sponsored Visitor Visa approval?

Hello,

I would really appreciate if someone knows or has experience of this. I have Tier 1 Visa and there is 2 months before it expires. Can I sponsor a general visit visa for my parents given this fact or Do I have to hold my visa for the full duration when my parents will be here.

P.S: I am sure that my Tier 1 visa will be approved, but since I will not qualify for my ILR if I apply for an early extension.
