Croydon office appointment for baby

Hi, both my wife and I are on Tier-1 (G). Our baby was born in UK and we are planning to apply for a Tier-1 dependant visa for him. We have booked an appointment at the Croydon service centre.

The appointment letter says that 1 person can attend this appointment. Does this mean that only 1 parent can attend the appointment? Does anyone have any experience with this recently? Ideally both of us would like to attend since our baby is only 8 months old.
