Using sponsor note to correct salary in CoS

Hi

The salary mentioned in my CoS is incorrect. Can I use to the "sponsor note" system to specify the correct salary. This is very crucial since the incorrect one mentioned is below the requirement as per the Codes of Practice.

Or would it be safer to ask the sponsor to issue another CoS with the correct salary. I will have to pay for the new CoS.

In theory I think a sponsor note could cover this. It might look a little suspicious, but maybe I just have a suspicious mind
