ILR Application - Limited Company - NO NI

Post by ranishtr » Tue Aug 20, 2013 4:29 pm

Hi All,

I work as a contractor under Limited Company Setup. Me and my wife are directors with equal share.

My monthly incomes are from Payslip Salary + Dividend. The overall amount is sufficient for getting the points. The only question i have is , my salary is below the NI threshold. So i don’t pay any NI (Zero NI).

Will this become an issue while applying ILR.

I searched for similar posts, but couldn’t find any.

Thanks in advance for your time and reply

No issue at all.

You are paying Corporation Tax. Dividends are not untaxed.

You do not need to provide any proof for Corporation Tax. A letter from your accountant confirming your earning is enough proof for UKBA. However, Accountant has to be recognised, as per the guidelines of UKBA e.g. CIMA registered

Thanks, that gives me a peace of mind.

My accountants are registered ones.
Have you got any template for the accountant letter?

My wife joined me in UK with Tier 1 Dependent at Feb 2012. I know dependent can apply for ILR if he/she is with the
main applicant for 2 years. When i apply is September 2014 , my wife will have crossed that 2 years period.

My question is --

How many number of days she can live outside the country during their stay with the main applicant. considering that they lived more than 2 years with the main applicant before ILR?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Dep absences should be limited and for good reason.
