BRP card for ILR

Post by sss123sss » Sat Aug 24, 2013 7:39 pm

Yesterday I have applied for ILR in person. After 3 hours from Biometrics, Case worker has told that my case has approved and gave back all my documents except my current BRP card and employee letter and provided a letter saying that I will receive new BRP cards in 7 working days and on back pages it has mentioned that your case has approved.

My current Visa BRP card has retained by them.

Question : Will they retain current visa BRP card and issue new BRP card with Permit Residency stamp on it?

Yes, it will say settled status, indefinite leave to remain.

Thank you Amber.

Could you please clarify below queries?

1. As per your expeirence, What is the average timescale for getting BRP card?
2. It said that BRP will receive in 7 working days. Does Application approval date also consider as 1 working day out of 7 working days?

Not usually any more than 10 working days. I'd call DX (01604 496 798) on Tuesday or Wednesday and see if they have anything for you.

It'll more than likely just be a delay, I wouldn't really worry and would give it another 10 working days.
