Genuine Mistake ILR (LR) Fee

Post by junni4u » Sun Aug 25, 2013 10:56 am

Dear All Members,

My friend have applied for ILR on 10 years long residence basis on 12

August with his spouse and kid, he unfortunately made a genuine menial

mistake by putting wrong amount on Banker's Cheque as well as on

payment page of ILR application form.

The amount should be 1051 UK pounds instead he put 1050 on his Banker's

Cheque which already been taken out from his Bank account by Home office.

Now, the question is how can he rectify this mistake as he has just

realized this over sight and quiet anxious to avoid any trouble ahead, also,

he has yet to receive acknowledgment letter.

Please all gurus/Members advice what best course of action he must take.

Regards.

Patience, patience, patience!

Your friend should consider writing to the home office with a new payment form and the additional £1 asking them to merge the two. The fact that the cheque's been cashed would indicate that either they didn't realise or they may be ok with the £1 short.

The form wants an applicant to circle the amount which is already written as 1051
