I think, Once your parents reach 10 years, and if you are still a dependent, then you can get ILR. But to be considered a dependent you have to be under 18.

Two years I think when ur parent reaches 10 years legal stay.

I'm interested to know how people can be students for 10 years - are we talking phd level etc?

my parents are 7 and 8 and are on student visa
Just to make absolutely sure about this, what does this mean? One parent has been here for 7 years and the other for 8 years?

If so, who has been here longest? And when exactly do they get to the 10-year mark? And at that time, what will you be doing? For example, will you be a student?

Not so sure but wait for other advice.

I think in 3/4 years time u'll be 23 and unlikely to be considered as a dependent.

Seven year degree?! I did mine in three!

so youre saying i wont be dependent when i reach 23, then what will i be, because i dont want to be on student visa, cause it means you cant work as much hours. and u are restricted to many things. can i still apply on
flr(o) form when im 20-23 yr.
