sample sponsorship letter

Hi All,
I'm looking for a sample sponsorship letter for UK visitor visa.
I believe it need not be signed in front of a solicitor.. right?

No solicitor required!

I don't have a sample VV sponsor letter although I can say I was the sponsor for my partners student visa and all I put was my name etc, that I was her sponsor, and that I enclosed bank statements, payslips etc and she'd be living at at my address. Three year visa issued.

Where is you guest from, might be pertinent, it seems HO has a sliding scale of Countries' dodginess so I surmise some need more detailed documentation than others....

from past personal experience i have applied for a visitors visa for my mum 3 times successfully and only had to provide payslips for the last 3 months and bank statements dating back to the last three months, all she had to do was fill in her form on her side, also had to provide a copy of my passport with my status in the UK.

I guess this varies from country to country.

No need for a Solicitor's signature. Just write to the concerened British High Commission that you wish to sponsor your so and so for their visit to UK to meet you and family, and that you will be paying for their travel (IF U R) and can accommodate them.

Just got visit visa (6 months) last week for my inlaws to visit us here.

If you need any more info just reply to this post or in the family members thread you will find a topic VISIT VISA FOR INLAWS by samkma just ask your question there I will reply.
