My son in law has applied for his OCI but the status enquiry report shows an objection. On his British Birth Certificate he has no first name. His parents registered his birth with just middle name and surname thinking that once a first name was decided upon they would go back within the 12 months, but this was never done. When they applied for his first British passport the Liverpool p/p added his first name and he has used this since. All his current documents are showing his first name. Have tried in vain for the past 3 weeks to ring the High Commission in Birmingham, have emailed them and today have also emailed the High Commission in London, but no replies from anyway. Please can someone advise how to resolve this issue.
