Validation

Post by Sandram48 » Wed Sep 11, 2013 3:01 pm

Dear Forum members,

Just need to validate my calculation for the 5 year term to apply for ILR.

Date visa stamped/ entry into Uk 24th Sept,2008 (work permit)

Switched to Tier 1 while in country : 9th May 2009

Calculated the 5 year term as 24th Sept 2008 - 24th Sept 2013. I intend to apply mid Oct 2013.

Thanks in advance
Sandram

Actually, you can apply at the end of August (up to 28 days before the 5th anniversary of your start date) if you wish.

My spouse and I have our permanent UK driving licenses which are about 3 years old. Would this suffice as a type of proof of cohabitation?

Thanks

Proof of cohabitation for ILR should be one joint letter or a letter each for roughly every 4 months of the last 2 years from a total of at least 3 different sources.

Would credit card statements on our individual names over the last 3 years be considered as one source for each of us? as we could easily show that over every 4 month period over 2years?

Would bank statements form 2 different banks be considered as one source or two different sources.

Thanks
Sandram

Two different bank accounts and a credit card account would suffice.

Sandram48 wrote:Dear Members,

My 5 year eligibility is as follows:

Entry into the UK on 24th Sept 2008 on a WP.
Switched to a Tier 1 General,in country, on March 31st 2009.

My clarifications are:
Section 3: Which Category?
I am ticking the box, under section A, Tier 1 (General).
Do I also need to tick Work Permit Holder box in Section B?

Section 6: Immigration History
6.1: When did you first enter the UK?
Do I mention 24th Sept 2008, the date I entered the UK on a WP? or
Do I mention March 31st,2009, the date I switched to a Tier 1,General,in country?

The reason for my confusion:
If I mention March 31st,2009, the date I switched to a Tier1, then the period of calculation works to less than the 5 yr eligibility.
I have my original WP doc which I can attach.

Thanks
Sandram
