Working while visa being decided by UKBA

Hi All,

Below given is my situation.

I have applied for Tier 1 General Extension (2nd) on 15th July 2013 and I have given biometrics on 23rd Aug 2013.

My current visa expired on 08th Sep 2013. I am an IT contractor. Also, my contract is due for renewal on 30th Sep 2013. I am very much worried now about my contract extension as I haven't got a valid visa yet.

I heard from people that we can work in Uk while visa is being decided. Can someone here confirm this? Also, what are my chances of getting visa before 30th Sep?

Appreciate your help.

yes, you can work while your visa application reviewed by UKBA.
Some people recently reported that they got visa extension after around 6 weeks of BRP enrollment. you have a fair chance to receive the same by 30th...
