How long it takes after medical submission to get an answer

Post by jiffry130157 » Wed Mar 28, 2007 10:42 pm

Hi All
Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get a reply from CIC after medical reports are submitted? Is there anything as medial expiry period?
Can anyone explain me these?

Thank you
Jiff

replies after medicals

Post by purplechoclate » Tue Apr 17, 2007 4:03 am

Hi

On average they reckon between 2 - 3 months, We had meds in Dec last year, and received passport requests within this time frame. So sometime soon is the answer !!!! We landed 1 March, if you drop them off you can pick up your visas 2 weeks later which means you can book flights etc as you have a definite time frame. Posting is anyones guess, but if you live in London drop off/pick up is by far the best route !!

Good Luck

PPR depends on the fact if your background/security check is complete by the time your medicals reach cic. but in most cases its 1-3 months after medicals that the passports are requested.

Yep and also of course in which order they request info. Our background checks were done quite some time before, whilst, others have it done last . There doesn't appear to be too much 'standardisation' in terms of what gets done when. It seems to be down to whoever is working with your file. Which is why the CAIPS file can be useful.
