OCI and Tourist Visa - India

Hi,

I recently got British passport and i am about to surrender india passport to get the certificate.

As OCI Processing time is around 2 months,Question is can i apply for both OCI and Visitor visa simultaneously.

As Visitor visa is quick so that i can make a immediate travel and OCI to later travel.
