ILR Croydon Success today 30 Sep

Post by Srieuk » Mon Sep 30, 2013 5:41 pm

Hi,

Today we got our ILR application approved at Croydon. Appointment was at 8.35am, decision was made by 10.15am, experience was very good.

in brief my case was as below
-arrived 89days late
-had 54days absences with paid leave
-Submited absence letter from current and previous employer
-12 pay slips
-Bank statements for last 12 months -9months NatWest 3months Barclays
(name on statements was wrong, surname and First name were reversed so got letter from NatWest bank manager)
-P60 - 4, HMRC employment history
-Absences summary
-PBS summary
-Cohabitation docs(GP,Council, voter registration, rent req letters, tenancy 2 banks lots of statements with both of us names etc etc)
-Employment latter confirming latest salary
-Hike letters
-Employment contracts
-Life in UK test letters
-Cover Letter
-Payment sheet as fee paid online(wife name was printed as Mr in payment sheet so made enquiry and found no a problem.)-Fee paid in advance online while booking appointment.

My suggestions
-Start collecting docs from as early as possible
-Have partner name on as many docs as possible as joint name
-Organise docs properly-I didnt use plastic folders instead used paper rings
-Have a good cover letter-accept and explain your case

Thanks

Hi Srieuk,

Heartly congratulations for getting the ILR.
The experience shared by you will be very useful for all future applicants, especially the list of documents mentioned.

Just a couple of queries:
1) Did the case worker ask you for any prove for payment for your 54 days of paid absence.

2) The Set (O) form mentions to submit 1 month latest Salary + Bank statement but you submitted for 12 months. Any specific reason / benefit for that which we should be aware of?

3) Will it be possible for you to share the template for Absence Letter and covering letter with us? (skeletal format will be sufficient)

Regards,
