Hi,

I applied for mine and my daughter’s OCI on 01 October 2013 at HCI London personally. At the moment it shows as “Under Process”. I do agree that it may be a little too early but unfortunately I am having to travel to India as there is an emergency. Just can’t make up my mind on getting a tourist visa or waiting for OCI. Has someone here received their OCI in 2 weeks time. I am hoping someone here can let me know of their timelines for OCI and tourist visa.

OCI application takes about 1 month. You can get a tourist visa in 3 working days - check with VFS. If there is an emergency you can apply for emergency visa.

timeline at present is about 4-7 weeks so two weeks is a bit optimistic!
