French Immigration didn't stamp my passport upon entry

Post by anantha09 » Thu Oct 24, 2013 1:08 pm

Hello All

I am getting ready to apply for my ILR next month.

One thing that is worrying me badly is that I am missing an entry stamp when I visited France three years ago by a coach tour.

I had a Schengen visa and When I went into France in 2009 , I didn't get an arrival stamp.
I can't remember if my passport was even checked by French immigration authorities.

When I left France after 5 days my passport was stamped for entry into the UK, by UK immigration authorities.

So I have the entry stamp for arrival into the UK.
But I am missing the arrival stamp for when I entered France.

Although I have copy of the tour itinerary in hand.

Will this be a problem when I apply for ILR?

Any answers or information will be much helpful guys.

Thanks
Anantha

Usually if travel together with EU national partner to EU countries then no entry/departure stamps are placed but in all other cases the travellers must make sure to get their travel documents be stamped from authorities if they did not bothered it for future convenience. But i believe the travel record you have can resolve this matter too.
Please donot send PM. Write in open forum to facilitate others too.

I did not travel with any EU national.

But I am wondering how much impact this may have on my ILR application.

Only 5 days. No impact. Just chill and forget it.

No impact what so ever. But its good to submit relavant documents as suppirt (like flight email confirmations, etc). I had the same situation for my ILR this year as a couple of stamos were missing for my travels within the EU (this normaly happens when you travel within the EU with two or more connecting flights)

You will be absolutely fine. Like I said just provide supporting documents incase. thata all
