spouse ilr or citizenship

Post by keepsim » Tue Nov 12, 2013 2:09 pm

My wife currently has defendant visa until 2016 , she first came to uk on defendant visa in April 2011 but could not apply for ILR with me as she had not spent 2yr until my turn.

My question is I've ILR for an year and planning to apply for citizenship, is there any way for apply for her citizenship along with me (trying to save money by applying together or i will need her ILR first and only then citizenship.

Your wife will need ILR before applying for British Citizenship. Once you have been granted BC she will need to have spent 3 years in the UK before she can apply. i.e April 2014 (assuming she has ILR by then).
