Statistics - HSMP profession

Post by hk_007 » Fri Aug 13, 2004 10:42 am

Is there any data available as to people from which profession e.g. IT, finance, biological science, engineers (chem, mech. Etc.) have been successful for HSMP? Maybe successful forum members can give us an idea. Just trying to figure out if any professions are given particular advantage.

With regards to HSMP - No profession is given particular preference - it is the points and elgibility that matter.

As far as Workpermits are concerned - in the last three years or so the majority of work permit holders have been from the Sub Continent
Where there is a will there is a way.

Just curious to know which professionals form the major share of successful HSMP applicants. Of course it would be more relevant to have data about the percentage of successful applications from each profession. Just curious.

That cud purely be due to the fact that the IT profession is more globally mobile than most hence % of applicants from the field are also high. Cannot be due to any preference of HO.

yes it is true that the IT applicants are many. generally IT people fall under specialist position and thus chances of getting points are more. For senior position you got to show so many proofs but for it specialist not much is required. So IT proffessions are the most successful.
