2nd Extension Query...!!!

Gurus,

Myself plus Wife's(dependent) Tier 1 Visa Expires in August 2014. We are expecting our first baby in Feb 2014. I plan to go for extension in May 2014. This will be my 2nd Extension(arrived late in UK). So, assuming I ll be getting another three years i.e, till April 2017. My initial Visa was for 3 years and then got another two years.

My query is, will my baby be also extended till April 2017 or he will be extended till August 2014 i.e, current expiry of tier 1 visa.
Please advice Gurus...

If you apply for the baby's leave before you extend, he or she can only be granted in line with the expiry of your current short-dated leave. So why bother? Apply all together in May and you will all be granted 3 years.
