Hi

"Has the dependant used or been known by other name"
In India woman has different surname before marriage. So my wife has different surname before marriage. What should be answer for this question YES or NO.
OR this question is framed for people who changed there first name and surname before.
Thanks, Please reply and help me in answering this question for my application.

Thanks, please help me in one more question- her old passport is in India somewhere in home. On old passport there is NO entry clearance/visa stamp as it covers duration before coming to UK. In application questions are:
Has this dependent ever had any other passport- YES
Can this dependant provide this passport with application- NO
Where is this dependant passport now- OPTIONS ARE AS BELOW:
LOST
STOLEN
EXPIRED (RETURN TO NATIONAL AUTHORITY)
ALREADY WITH UKBA
CHILD BORN IN UK
As no above option is correct. The nearest option is Expired but "Return to National Authority" is not correct as in India when a new passport is issued authority return expired one to us.
Please suggest how I can answer this and what I should say in application and which option should I select.
Please help me in this question and please reply
Thanks

If there is an option to write a note there, then explain it there otherwise ticking "expired" is the logical option to go for. You can check further guidance for that question if still unsure.
