Child Tax Credit

Hi,
I am on ILR and wife is British. she is only taking child benefit now and we want to apply for child tax Credit
which information we required to apply for CTC?
one company is registered on her name but not trading?
are they check saving as well when you apply for CTC?
what will effect to me currently i am on 700.Per month?
