Getting Married In Pakistan

Post by soniaallam » Sun Dec 29, 2013 3:39 pm

Dear All,

My fiancé is from Pakistan, and we wish to settle here permanently (UK). We have decided to get married over there God Willing so he can apply on a spouse rather than fiancé visa to UK and hence start working sooner.

Please does anyone know what documents I, a British National, and previously divorced would need in order to get married over there?

Many thanks in advance,

Best Wishes

Many thanks for your help. I was actually wondering though what documents I'd need for over there in Pakistan in order to get married there.
Not sure if you might know of any links?

Thank you

Sonia,
SET3.15 Evidence of marriage
Dont they register marriages in Pakistan? If yes, insist on getting this done and obtain a few copies of the marriage certificate.
For the marriage if you are sending formal invitations out , that should be an added bit of evidence.
Here is the entire guidance issued to the UKBA staff internally on this subject.

Good Luck
