Registration of a child as a British citizen

Hi,

For registration of a child as British citizen under section 1(3) of the British Nationality Act 1981, does one have to fill up section 2 of Form MN1? Are there limits on the number of days a child can be absent from the UK (as in the naturalisation applicatin for adults)?

There is no residence requirement for section 1(3) registration. Also, don't worry about the requirement for references if this is difficult to provide.

Registration under section 1(3) is an entitlement and cannot be refused if the statutory requirements are met.
