Tier 2 General Dependant Visa Queries

Hello,

I am applying for my wife's tier 2 general dependant visa from saudi arabia and have a few queries on the online application form.

1) There is a section called "Main Applicant". Whose details should I fill in there? (I'm sure its my wife's). There are certain confusing questions on it like "Does the main application have a certificate of sponsorship"? I am the one who is sponsored not her, so why does she need to specify that information?

2) Is the main applicant living in the UK? I am her husband who's living in the UK and considering she's the main applicant, why does she have to specify whether she's living in the uk or not?

Kindly please let me know about these queries asap.

in the terminology of the dependant visa application you are the main applicant, not your wife.

To me it looks like that you are the Main Applicant because these questions are referring to your status in UK. Although, this is really strange and absolutely unacceptable. Why can't ukba make clear forms. On another suggestion, can I suggest you to call ukba and ask them to clarify this with you. I hope this helps you.

we ( myself and my dependent) have got TIER2 visa.

we have blessed by beautiful daughter after 1 month of TIER2.

Questions as under:

Do I need to maintain 90 days maintenance(£600) again?

do I need to request again a COS from my employer for my daughter?

But I already have got my visa and am applying only for my wife's. Do I still need to fill my details? Also do I have to fill the whole section with my details? or partly? Kindly let me know.

it is your wife's application, not yours, and she has to fill in everything on the form as required (see the guidance notes) including your, the main applicant's, details.

Main applicant is the person who is currently holding the Tier 2 General Visa. So dependent is not the main applicant.
