How long would you have if resign from current sponsored job

Post by blobfish » Sun Jan 12, 2014 2:20 pm

Hello everyone,

If I want to leave my current sponsored job(under tier 2), how many days will I have to try to find another job or switch to another migration route before I need to leave the country?

Thanks in advance!

find another job first and don't resign before your new immigration status has been confirmed by the HO.

At least 60 days from the time your sponsor notifies UKBA. If you do have to leave first then look for a new job, it's a good idea to book a PEO appointment for your next Tier 2 as late as possible in time, but within the above timeframe. Being able to sort your visa quickly and start on the job can be helpful in finding a sponsor.

thank you for your reply! Actually i really fed up with this job and want to leave as soon as i can and qualified to change to partnership instead. So i will book an appointment with PEO for new visa and leave the current job!
