Hi Suresh,

its not mandatory.
if you do it , it should list the applicant' parents and applicant's children, siblings etc which will tell the ECO that the applicant has children/parents/siblings in india and will go back after the visa period.
there are some free softwares available to build this family tree.
I am not saying that it should be done but some people suggested me to do it.
good luck.

I never sent any originals except the invitation/sponsorship letter and visas (6-7 in the last 6 years) were always issued without any trouble. Most recent family visitor visas were approved in March and April this year.
Having said that, in my opinion majority of the visitor visa refusals are not due to sponsor's documents, but due to lack of documents from the applicant (either weak finance or weak ties with home country or incorrect information).

Congratulations IRS. Very happy to hear the news.

In the list of documents, you have mentioned sponsorship letter and invitation letter.
Are they both different or just one letter from my side is enough?

Thank you.

Hi All,

From your experience how much / knowledge, can you please share how much duration should elapse between successive visits of parent(s) to UK on a general visitor visa? The guidance in this link link states it is completely subjective.

Accordingly, is there an unwritten rule that total duration should be <6 months in a year?

Thanks

You are right that this is now subjective.

However, the guidance used to say that a person should spend no more than 6 months in 12 in the uk. It is still the best rule of thumb we have to go by.

Hi !!

Did you include home survey report as well that shows you have enough/ample space for their stay in your house or flat ??
This report or letter normally comes from estate agent or council..

Please respond and many thanks

Hi Guys ,

Just to confirm I am inviting my parents to visit( Family visit as i am settled) me in UK and I will be sponsoring their visit completely even though they can show all Tax returns document and strong ties back home as my Dad runs a Business and my 3 brothers are back home.
My question is how much approximately should i maintain in myBank Account and How long should the money be there for?
I will have to book a hotel accomodation ( just for the ECO proof of Accom)for 2 weeks of stay which app comes around 900 pounds ,
I have around 2000+ pounds everyday in the last 3 months except 3 days where it dipped to 1600 pounds?and current balance is around 4000 pounds.
So what do you guys have shown? any suggestions please????

Thanks for your time.
