Anyway to apply for British Visa and Schengen Visa same day?

My Fiancée will have to go to the British and French Embassy in Lima to apply for Visas. Lima is 14 hours away from her so she will only be able to make one trip to apply for both her visas. Both application seem to require original information, will they take the original information after the interview or do they just need to see it once? Is there anyway they would accept only seeing the original information once so we can give it to the other embassy to return at a later date (if that is required) with proof of exactly what she is doing re: getting 2 visas on the same day?

It is unlikely that you will be able to apply for two visas at the same time. Usually, passports are retained until visa is processed.
