Flr(m) - Category B calculation

Post by atp102 » Sat Jan 25, 2014 7:36 pm

Hi all

I'm going to apply for Flr(M) and wish to rely financial requirement on Category B - work in the Uk - as below:

- Gross income from Nov 2013 - Jan 2014 : £1880 per month
- Gross income from Apr - Oct 2013: £1500 per month
- Gross income from Feb - Mar 2013: £1480 per month

All with same employer.

For 1st requirement of Cat B: earning the amount relied upon, for less than the last 6 months, they
can count the gross annual salary at the date of application towards the financial
requirement

[(1880 x 3) + (1500 x 3) / 6 ] x 12 = £20,280 - exceed £18,600 requirement

For 2nd requirement of Cat B: The gross amount of salaried or non-salaried employment income of the applicant’s
partner (in the UK or overseas) and/or the applicant (if they are in the UK with
permission to work)

(1480 x2) + (1500 x 7) + (1880 x 3) = £19,100 - exceed £18,600 requirement.

Do you think my calculation is correct ? Am I good to rely on Cat B ?

Any input would be much appreciated.

Thanks

You currently earn £1880 pm which equates to £22560 pa. This exceeds the required threshold which satisfies the first part. You have earned £18600 (or more) Gross in the last 12 months, this satisfies the second part, thus Cat B should be acceptable.
